About Us

MIKE ZITTERICH is the co-founder, and owner of Sioux Falls Community Chronicle. Born, and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota his entire life, he has a strong passion for telling the history of the City of Sioux Falls, as well as for South Dakota. The greater knowledge that we possess of our history and of the political understanding of our country, our state, our city - the more prepared we are to tackle the problems of tomorrow, and then, and only then, may we form a better, stronger community.

Mike Zitterich was born to the proud parents of Gary Zitterich, and Vicky Foster. He has two siblings, David, and Angela Zitterich both born and raised also in Sioux Falls. A graduate of Lincoln High School (also attending Washington High), he was trained, educated, and groomed to operate his own small business - Zitterich Auto Sales.

His father, has operated a very successful Automotive Repair Facility for more than Forty Years, prior to retirement, and his mother had at one time operated a home- daycare childcare center in the 1980's.

The Zitterich Name is synonymous in both the Automotive Industry, as well as the Motorsports Community where Gary Zitterich has won two track championships at Huset Speedway (1991, 1992), Hartford Speedway (1993), and two National Series Titles (1989, 1998) while being inducted into the Huset Speedway Hall-of-Fame.

Do You Enjoy Writing, and Expressing Yourself Today

Sioux Falls Community Chronicle is a website created to help promote Independent Journalism. It is the place that stands up for, and protects our 1st Amendment protected right to be free from, all of the media biases, propaganda, and misconceptions of organized media outlets by simply allowing the Citizens of South Dakota to be free in auditing, reviewing, and investigating all the things their federal, state, and local governments are doing today. In the "Free World" that we live in, there can be no right or wrong answer to what you believe, or not believe, there can only be the opinions made by the people themselves, as they go about their daily lives of actively working, congregating, and prospering upon the land of which we live on. It matters not if you are a Democrat, or a Republican, or an Independent - for when you express yourself in a positive, prudent, respectful manner, people take the time to listen to you.

I established this "community of people" back in 2020 out of a need for providing my fellow citizens an independent avenue to freely speak on the topics that matter most to them, so long as they respect every member, do not disrespect any member's opinions, let alone speaking in a mild manner, all are welcome. I encourage you to join the Sioux Falls Community Chronicle today, invite your closest family, friends, and co-workers to help provide them an equal voice, giving to them the ability to write, journalize, and share their thoughts, while having equal access to publish those journals on our website tomorrow. You have two ways of which to get your articles published on our website...

"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood; and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle; or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

Samuel Adams, American Patriot and Politician of the American Revolution

Customer Satisfaction

⦁ The definition of Customer Service is the art in which a company places the importance of customer satisfaction.

⦁ We strive to provide people with the most honest, humble, information, opinions, and stories as possible.

⦁ We believe in order to establish a great business, all businesses must present morality, integrity, and responsibility.

Community defines a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common, of which they enjoy a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Chronicle is defined as a chronological record of events; a history of the people, and their community with a goal to record in or as in a chronicle.

The South Dakota State Capitol was built in 1905. When South Dakota became an independent state it was decided that it was also time to establish a permanent capital city. Many towns campaigned for this position, very much like a political campaign. The city of Pierre, in fact, went into debt for 30 years because of the amount of money they spent on their campaign. The central location of Pierre within South Dakota is what helped the current Capital City win the campaign.
